Glory Box 01 starts a series of one-page comics about Delica getting gifts for the Prince. They all take place at different times, not in timeline with the current storyline. Flashbacks, basically. GB pages will only show up at the start of chapters (or holidays).

Since Prince Christian disappeared, Delica has been collecting trinkets for him, keeping them in a wooden chest. She hopes to give it to him when he returns. It’s a way for her to feel close to him while he’s missing.

Next week’s update will be a character sketch just to keep the website updating. How about a vote for which character will be sketched for next week? Leave a comment with the character you’d like to see. Whoever gets the most votes will be the sketch~ Regular updates will resume on Tues, Jan 3rd. Hope you have a Merry Christmas!

👀 It’s gonna be a cliffhanger until Jan 3rd, I’m sorry. lol

Reminder: Next week’s update will be a one-page sketch style mini comic that takes place at a different point in the story. (Called a “Glory Box” comic.) More of these will be posted at the start of new chapters and other pertinent times. The following week is Dec 27th; there will be no comic page that day, but I may just post a little Happy New Year sketch or something. If I have the time! I used to always do a NYE vale sketch back between 2011-2014. Maybe I can revive that a decade later. lol Regular updates will resume on Jan 3rd. Um, we can find out if Ander dies in 3 weeks. lol

Now we know why these actors were taking the road less-traveled. I hope the package is still recognizable. rofl It’s been around a year since I last drew it!

I was kinda miffed at the first panel being so crammed, but then I realized that sticking ‘cornbread’ right on top of Ander’s head was kinda perfect. And I decided to use the “notch” tail method for all “off-frame” dialogue, so hopefully it’s easy enough to tell who’s talking in all those off-frame bubbles. lol

A little announcement: Next Tuesday, Dec 13th, will be a standard comic page update. The following Tuesday, the 20th, will be a one-page sketch style comic that takes place at a different time and centers on Delica/Luke. It pertains to the season, so it’s sorta Christmas-related. lol I’ve wanted to start a series of one-page monochrone sketch style comics to post at the start of new chapters that all have a theme. This one doesn’t start a new chapter, but I thought it was a fitting place to start this series anyhow. I’m calling them “Glory Box Comics”, and you’ll see why. (Some of you may already have a guess based on that name. lol)

There will be no update the next Tuesday, Dec 27th, for Christmas/the New Year. I hate to interrupt the story for 2 weeks, but I think everybody stays pretty busy during this time of year anyhow. And I could really use those two weeks to help build my page buffer back up. lol Regular updates will resume on Tuesday, Jan 3rd.

Will Ander finally get his fire???

I was able to complete a page in 4 evenings this week, so I’m on track to build the buffer back up, thank God. Alan’s work on editing the prequel novel for nanowrimo is going great! I’m dying to share some of it!

Another page is scheduled for next Tuesday. I’ll keep you guys updated on whenever we plan on using an update day to share some of the novel.

Look, Daniel is not about to let you set a fire.

Luke‘s birthday was Nov 12th, and I wish I had been able to finish a new portrait for him or something, but… lol I have too many pages to catch up on. Sorry, Luke! Besides, it’s the fake birthday he chose when he became Luke, nobody should be celebrating that. :p But since I couldn’t make anything new, I’ll just re-share his expression sheet from last year.

Oh, he has insight… Some of you guys may recognize some of this lineart from a previous drawing… lol I’m not above recycling art!

Thanks for reading! This past week I was out of town with my family. The week before that, me and the kids had a cold and various sinus infections… SO my page buffer is down to 2. Updates are continuing as usual since I’m working 2 pages ahead, but one week sometime soon, we’ll probably let me catch up a bit and do this: instead of a comic page update, Alan will post a snippet of the prequel LitV novel he’s in the process of editing for Nanowrimo. It’s Luke’s backstory, which we’re alluding to in this very page (and part of which you guys have SOME knowledge of lol). He wrote it for nano back in 2012 and completed it and actually wrote several chapters of a second novel that concludes Luke’s story up to when he joins the Outrunners. I’m REALLY looking forward to when he’s completed the edits so we can release it. It has my absolute favorite Vale character in it who hasn’t shown up in the comic… yet.

Next week will definitely be a comic page, though. See ya Tuesday!
